A Man

I have not seen the sun today,
Nor felt it's warmth upon my face.
The travels I've traveled have been hard as the stone,
It's funny how life puts a man in his place.

A man's born a baby, that never will cry,
Has a serious look that says do or die.
Responds with a smile to mom's lullaby...
Then sighs.

Now five or six years down the road,
That boy's now stuck in loco mode,
He'll make you smile, laugh, cringe with so much love...
And the proudest realization,
Is that no matter what the expectation,
Even if he falls he'll rise above.

Then about ten or eleven, a man has reached his prime,
And he knows the things you need to know to get ahead.
Then he takes this knowledge and applies it,
A man always tries it,
And he's damn lucky if he doesn't wind up dead.

After that, it's all down hill,
As the picture will finally fill,
He is now an opinionated, hard headed, full fledged man.
He can get the job done, though it may cost him a thumb,
But if someone needs to do it... well, he can.

You're lucky to get a kiss, his lips you'll always miss,
What ever time he has is always his.
And he spends that with some toy,
After all, he's just a boy,
And that's what makes a man just what he is.

Awwww sweet write but what women need to learn is a man must have his toys and his time to play just as we do. Believe me it is much better having to share your man with his toys then another. good one again
