the tea seems to sooth my throat, so hopefully it will bring back my voice soon!! may have to call the doc again, or have someone call for me cuz I dont have much of a voice at all. ((((Judy)))) I'm tough, no rest for the wicked and all

Ruthie, is your throat sore or have you just lost your voice? If there's no soreness, your vocal cords have just tightened up and need loosening, hot liquids, honey and lemon and if you have them up by you, Ricola throat drops work great. Mostly, they need heat and lots of fluid. Steam will help as well, along with eucalyptis and/or menthol oils. Sucks not being able to talk, for me anyway

Yeah, unfortunately I speak from experience. My son and I are both prone to throat problems. I lose my voice every time I get a cold, whether it's sore or not. Since I talk so darn much, that just about kills me

Hmmmm, have you been to the doctor? Do you have your tonsils? Are the glands on your neck swollen? If you can, take a flashlight and look down your throat, if you see anything white, go to the doctor, might be strep. If it's just red but nothing looks swollen, it'll probably go away on it's own, eventually. Any fever? Yeah, I'm playing doctor

went to the doc last week, he told me what i have is viral and not much he can do for me. Yes i have my tonsils, no my glands are not swollen, I can't see down my throat will have to work on that one, lol... low grade fever, 99.5
