As I tell my story
as I sing my song
sometimes I wonder
do I really belong
I am the lone warrior

With honor and valor
I have fought your fight
I have stood by your side
with no end in sight

I have stood strong in battle
I have laid enemies low
I could not surender or retreat
for there was nowhere to go

The battle was fierce
and the enemies were fast
but I will fight till the end
even if I breath my last

There were so many
I didn't think I would make it
the battle was taking it's toll
from the wounds they did inflict
I am the lone warrior

As the battle raged on
I dropped to one knee
I asked the people I protected
to please pray for me
I am the lone warrior

As I saw the fear in their faces
and the tears in their eyes
even with my wounds bleeding
I knew I must rise
I am the lone warrior

Wave after wave they came
and their weapons cut deep
I prayed to the Lord
for my soul to keep
I am the lone warrior

With no weapons to fight
with no ammunition
with my bear hands
I will finish this mission
I am the lone warrior

The people I fought for
I couldn't let die
for with all my God given strength
I made sure they'ed survive
I am the lone warrior

With the battle raging
and their relentless attack
my strength is ebbing
but I kept fighting back
I am the lone warrior

My wounds are deep
my blood flows like a river
my body begins to shake
I feel the coldness of death, I begin to quiver
I am the lone warrior

Time seems to slow
I begin to fall down
I open my eyes
I see angels all around
I am the lone warrior

I look back at the horizon
accross the battle field
another wave is coming
more blood will be spilled
I am the lone warrior

I looked back at the people
I slowly raised my hand
I motioned for them to leave
for this was my final stand
I am the lone warrior

I looked back at the angels
I said don't let me fall
please grant me more time
to give these people my all
I am the lone warrior

My spirit began to float
I saw myself on the ground
I begged the angels
please let me go another round
I am the lone warrior

My enemies were now around me
they paused and looked down
the saw my bleeding body
and their comrades on the ground
I am the lone warrior

They began to look up
at the city they wanted to take
but an angel touched the ground
and the earth began to quake
I am the lone warrior

Another angel came
and with me he did speak
he said you have done well Daniel
you have protected the meek
I am the lone warrior

I couldn't help myself
I began to cry
it's now on the wings of eagles
that I do fly
I am the lone warrior

yes I did felt like almost being there,very descriptive,I think you battle is over,and now you can give and share yourself because of that.I belive in angels and the power of prayer.

Well this second part has left me speachless just like the 1st part did...I dont know quite what to say...But I will say this though I have fought many battles in my life but there is one im still fighting to win but,this battle is different and hard to win....But I hope and pray that I win this last battle

You totally know I've been waiting for this second post...
and, I must say, that you did not dissapoint me my friend.
I thought that both pieces were exceptional...
(I really do think that you captured the true essence, and thoughts... of what the lone warrior would think and do...)
It kicked right back into the same feeling that I had when I read your first write...
(which, congratulations, is hard to achieve, when both pieces were written seperately
(mainly on the first verse, keep instead of kept caught my eye...) and the extra line in the second verse... which keeps ringing in my mind... (perhaps very well put)
I really liked this double saga 2Btrue...
simply, impressive... (sorry to make digress)
