yea well there is bruising now and considerably more swelling

that's pretty normal. I'm assuming they did x-rays? I can't remember what you're supposed to do for the swelling, whether it was ice or heat or both, too many years ago but I do remember they had my foot wrapped so tightly, it went numb. When I took the wrapping off to loosen it up, POOF, it got huge. It was rather disgusting
Did they give her something for the pain?

yea but the swelling is not going down it is only getting worse
i am gonna take her to a different hospital one that my dr works out of the small town one they are nothing but quacks |

Probably a good idea. Especially if there's a small break in the bone, those are missed a lot. I broke my shoulder once, too, skiing.
