Yep because you are going to be compared to the other person constantly. It usually doesn't last. You often find yourself living up to the other person and it gets on your nerves after awhile. Trust me, been there done that

I can only hope I dont get rebound position. I have been single along time. A person just coming from a relationship is not on the same level in many ways as me. I dont consider it a curse though.

I ask because in my own experience and those I have seen in other relationships, the first b/f or g/f after a breakup usually isn't the one they end up with. It's like they are a test run or are the brunt of unfinished business.

i think it depends on how long it has been since they broke up but i think their will always be a little comparison even if its not to their ex but to their friends boyfriends/girlfriends, celebrities, what they want in a person, and to them selves.

Not a curse, but a reasonable period of time should have elapsed..... wouldn't do it if the break up was fresh.
