i had applied for mystery shopping jobs and i had a friend of mine give me a few sites.
well any how i got a letter in the mail from a company called consumer research company
the envelop was posted from canada, and they gave me a check to use for so much for probation training pay, funds for shopping.
service charge for western union to send the remaining back
the check was from a bank in pa
and the name listed was from cal
it didnt make any sense, and then i called the number they provided, and i ask him about there website, and he said they didnt have one, so i ask how they got my name and address, he responded by saying they got my name randamly... i dont think so
but any how i did call the bank in pa, and i did report them... i still have the check. how tempenting to cash a bogus check (LOL!!!

WOW They are still doing that? Thats crazy! Good post here, because there are alot of people who wouldnt really give it a second thought and try to cash that!

mystery shopper scams

I got something like that once a while back. I got a big check and they wanted me to go to MC'd's and WalMart and send half the money through money order or something to out of state place and I get to keep very little of the remaining of the money.

Crazy though how many scams are really out there now a days like these.

there are real scret shopper companies out there but you wont find them on the net. if you go to your local department stores usually they will tell you the names of the companies they use and how to contact them. my mom used to do that a few years ago for grocery stores and got payed pretty well plus kept what she bought.

Yes Queen it would be tempting and you could cash that check and have the money in your hands, but after you spend it and the bank finds out the check is no good, they woud have come after you for the money back. I was sent money orders that were so real looking and I knew they were fake. I turned them over to the FBI and they were amazed how real they looked. We will always be subjected to scammers on the internet especially from Nigeria. One woman from Nigeria emailed me and said she was so poor and didn't have enough money for food. I got her address and I sent her some Monopoly money. Wonder if she tried to spend it! Another one from Nigeria said she was so poor and needed money. I told her to sell her computer. You just have to be very careful while on the internet. By the way, I haven't eaten since breakfast. Can you send me a $1000 because I am a big eater! Stay safe Queen!

that is how they prey on people. you cash the check, they get money, check or money order or cashiers check bounces, BINGO, bank nails your account for the debit. remember a few years ago a cashiers check was as good as gold?? not no more too many fakes!!! BE CARFULE OUT THERE PEOPLE THE WORLD IS A JUNJLE!!!!!

Some guy tried to scam me with old stolen money orders from 7 years ago.. they were legit money orders(just stolen).. and I could have cashed them.. but then I would have been the criminal and they would have went after me.. i didn't sell him the truck..

who on earth would try and buy a car or truck with money orders,,, i would rather see the cash in hand. no check, no money order..

many of these companys are as bogus as the money orders or checks they use, the best thing is to say if it sounds too good to be true it probably is.

Gotta love them. I get SOO Many scams in my email from when i posted my resume on creigs list. I didnt list my email but yeah.. Infact ONE drug company is sending out spam USING My email address. Ive emailed them SEVERAL times to get them to stop but so far - nada.
