Well It is a Life & murder is murder to me. Its not something I could do.But on the other hand I feel that if a woman has been raped or molested,incest has occured..or if its a matter of life & death,That this choice should be hers to Make & live with and answer for..should there be any repercussions..there after..Who am I to judge..

I think too many people use it as a form of birth control. I'm divided on it. like I said...my son is a product of a date rape and I can't imagine not having him in my life. I was torn between abortion, adoption and keeping him. I felt for me at the time - I needed to keep him. your right a lot of teenages her are using aortion as a contrapcetive. abortions arnt good for the body, i think you can only have 3 in your life, and you can get problems conceiving if you had a abortion Considering the procedure is 400+ dollars to perform, I would not think alot of teens are using it as a form of birth control. No government money is used for abortions, it is all the girls responsibility to pay for it. Not saying that they are not getting them but it is not that easy to come up with 400+ dollars. Yes there can be complications from having them. you would be surprised

support, but dislike it. DONT HAVE SEX IF YOU DONT WANT CHILDREN!!. Im not against birth control, but I dont think people should just casually have sex if they cant handle having a child.

my opinion--ypu do not have to agree abortion is murder. there are always other options that killing and innocent child

playing devils advocate here for a sec (i'm sooooo good at it lol) what if the father wants the child and would love and care for the child?? shouldn't he have a say? i know the woman has to carry the child but shouldn't she have thought about that? Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your are the FIRST person in all the threads on abortion that I have commented on that she said that besides myself. My personal opinion, is that unless the womans life is threatened by the pregnancy then she has absolutely no right to abort. It is murder in my eyes. And as far as a woman having the right to choose with out the fathers say in the matter, hell no also. If the father is not around or wants nothing to do with you or the child, then no he has no say. But if the child's father steps forward and says he wants that child, then you are responsible for providing the man with his rightful child, as you agreed to have sex in the first place. disclaimer: I am not saying that a rapist has the right to his child, but a man who has consentual sex, and finds out the lady is pregnant should have the same exact rights to the raising of that child as the woman does.

I think it is the womens choice, but there is a limit to things... i agree but then again...if you put restrictions on that then women would do what they did years ago. they would go to back wood abortionists or do something themselves Well if some of them learn how to close ther legs, then there would be a different out look on this.... AMEN to that!

Did he have a written contract with her prior to the poke? If not, I think it is her decision. where does it state in the laws that a man loses his right to be a father, simply because the mother doesn't want to be a mother? It all boils down to one simple question. "are you willing to be a parent or give the child up for adoption if you don't want to be a parent" If you do not want to be a parent, and are unwilling to let the child be born if a pregnancy occurs, then you should not be having sex. Period. For a lady victim to rape, I am sorry but as a lady posted in here using herself as an example, abortion is still wrong. Yes, you might not be emotionally capable of raising the child, like this lady is, however there is still adoption. And for every single person that claims adoption is useless and not working, bull****. Almost every single newborn baby that is put up for adoption is adopted, most before they are even born. yes I can understand (although I still do not agree personally) how someone would choose abortion if it meant saving the lady's life. But unless you can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the child would be born dead (dead upon birth, not dying shortly thereafter), then in my opinion abortion is nothing more than legalized murder.

I just feel that in some cases such as rape, incest, or if because of prenatal testing you know the child will have some very serious medical condition, then abortion is OK. I do have a problem though if it is used just as a form of birth control.

Pro Life....all the way. No matter the situation. Abortion=murder. You can justify it or rationalize it all you want, but this is a human being and it is murder. I think that all of the arguing about it is just people's way of justifying a decision that they know deep down is not right. Good thread. I like to see other people's opinion on things like this. If more men learned to keep their pants on and fully zipped and buttoned, there would be different outlook also.
