It's so weird to see this, because I have this theory. The Edmund Fitzgerald is haunting me. I don't watch much tv or listen to the radio very often, and it seems like every time I turn on one or the other, there is a tv special or the song is on. Virtually every time. Now I turn on my computer and see this. Coincidence? I think not...
It is a great song, though. |

Lake Huron rolls Superior sings, in the ruins of her icewater mansion, old Michigan steams like a young man dreams
the islands and bays are for sportsman ... usually get goose-bumps during that verse |

my uncle was on another freighter 15 miles ahead of the fitz. they went on a search the next day and found one of the lifeboats. He said he had never seen a worse storm.

I was lucky enough years ago to see Gordon Lightfoot in concert. When he sang that song the lights went down and he was only in spotlight.By time he was halfway through I was covered in goosebumps. It was something special that's for sure
