I have an appointment this afternoon...told me to bring photo's and items from departed family and friends...I am not sure what to expect...have been talked into this...

Happy AD? bigsmile bigsmile
I believe that SOME people can be VERY gifted with insight to a few people, not all the time but occasionally
they can SEE. But MOST are nothing more than GREAT talkers,,no insight at all, just about your money...
Many people here feel THEY are gifted or HAVE BEEN at some time or another in life..
But GOOD LUCK and hey, its a kick to do anyway,,,lolbigsmile

Just DON'T let them make YOU worry about life take their reading with a BIG gran of salt.....lol:wink:

Years back I had two guys working for me part time who worked as "psychics" during the day. They told me some of the tricks they used - how they got you to talk about things then rapidly changed the subject only to bring it up later as something THEY discovered about you.

Or how they would watch for reactions to certain questions...

Or make vague statements then let the "subject" lead the way all the while thinking somehow the psychic was being magical.

They had some funny stories to tell!

I was told I am only allowed to answer questions with yes or no - no speaking allowed...

I am nervous and excited too...I remember when my mom died I managed to get in on a cancellation with George Anderson - he is pretty famous up in NY, It was about 250 dollars and this was 16 years ago! I went to see my elderly great aunt and mentioned it and she almost had a stroke! She told me that my mom's spirit did not have enough time to rise to heaven and that if I did it now she would forever be locked into the space between heaven and hell! She scared the crap out of me!! so I cancelled my apptmt and never went back .....well until today!

i think that all psychics are frauds. they can get all the info out of you, mainly body language and reaction to things...i wouldnt waste my time or money.

i do tarot cards myself. and i used to do witchcraft spells, i never did anything bad, BUT when someone did something bad to me, i did do a spell to make something happen to them as bad as what they did to me. it cant be any worse.

i never saw anything in my crystal ball though ohwell

"I'm seeing someone in your life with an 'E' in their name....now I'm seeing you in a car at some point in your life....you've watched TV, right? A....wait, it's hazy....a COLOR TV?....Ah, I thought so...."

I'm a psychic, too. I predict a loss of money for anyone who goes to see these people!

There's usually a disclaimer on one of their signs that says "For Entertainment Purposes Only." At least that's how it works around here....But they have to keep themselves covered just in case their "advice" gets you run over by a steamroller....

one more thing...don't ever give them more money than they originally asked for. If they say your money is dirty and they want to clean it...big scam. I know someone that lost all their money like this.

I agree with AaronzDad..they will take info that you give them and use it... I learned something from LOST last night.... A CON will work best when you make the other person think it was their own idea, well a psychic is little opposite, their scam works best when you supply the info but they make you think that they did. Good luck... i hope you let us know the outcome happy

I don't know why they would need an item from the dearly departed, unless it's to make you more intune during the session... or, maybe physic ability is simular to a blood hound following a cent?

Frozn

they dont ask for anything from the deceased, they just ask for a item of yours youve worn for years, like a ring.
