so i am starting a new job driving semi, i am deateing just giving up on the online date thing havnt had much luck with it.
that and wont have the time to get online. |

I know somebody that drives a semi. He met someone on-line near his home. He hooks his computer up at the truck stops.

well I know a few guys here that are truckers and they come online to pass the time when they stop for the night or they have set up meetings with gals that are in a city they are headed to

Just invest in a laptop. nothing against your dad. but i dont want a women in every state, i just want one that is true. have a laptop and if i am driving i am not one of the solar powered truck drivers that heads to the truck stop when the sun goes down. i prefer to be driving not sitting around all the time. |

Well, I can't speak for anybody else, but it's clear that the kind of person I would like to meet simply isn't here. Or on any other site I've tried, for that matter, with one exception which occurred many years ago. I would never look for someone on line again.... |

i have done the wireless things and got online many times when parked. i am just looking at pros and cons. i guess i should stop putting my thoughts on here.

To each their own. It works for him and them. But since you can only drive for 10 hours a day, it leaves a lot of time for sitting around. I'd invest in one for the entertainment alone. Granted, there is plenty to see if you want to. |

ahhh the ten hour rule actually you can drive for 11.
i dont know many guys that run for only 11 hours unless they are working for one of the bigger companys. myself i usually drive for around 16 hours a day, the only time your makeing any money is if the wheels are going around. |

I know it. My dad is an owner/operator and it kills me when he gets his pay stubs. But it's worth it, I think, just for all the stuff he gets to see and experience. Plus, once everything is paid for and fixed! he'll be making pretty good money. He's been trying to convince me to partner with him. Teach me to make random comments.

so you know about the drivng longer than your supposed too.
there is alot of days where all one does is load or unload , drive, and hope to sleep. |

Yep, I know, but I've also known those that are unfortunate enough to have trackers on their trucks so even if they fudge the logs, they still get busted.
