I am curious about your time in and what happened to you when you were discharged. ( If your time has passed for your security clearance I guess ( shut your mouth time) In critical career fields. And if you are able to now speak about what you did. Thanks..Miles

I did 4 years in the Navy 20 years ago,I had a secret clearance and I...... hold on there is two guys in suits at the door......Sorry gotta go

No man.. 6 year vet here.... your clearence becomes inactive but if you go to the federal side once you get out... (I did) your clearance can be reinstated after a less lenthy back ground check.

I am talking more about itry's statement. When I got out in 84. Before I left I was taken to a room where 2 guys sat and talked with me. Then handed me a paper to sign and read. Agreeing for 10 years I could not talk about what i did or face time in Leavenworth. i am wondering if thier are others whoo may even be under a lifetime restriction. An example of how close they watched us I had a friend who's dad was an American Exucutive in Hong Kong. He sent his sons a round trip air ticket to come see him and he did. When He got back he was arrested and taken somewhere and interagated for several days. He could not speak with anyone. I knew he was going but did not think much about it. Well whoever followed him to Hong kong for his whole stay. He said they had pictures of him just about everywhere he went.he said they were particularly intersted when he went in to a jewry shop. Why what who he talked to ect. This is pretty extreme to me to send agents to watch you for almost a month. I am curious if you know about stories like this. I know I am glad my 10 years are over.
