I agree with how far it's been taken. It would be fine if they can be their own age. I've seen too many dancers that are 5 or so....dancing like table dancers
That is where the explotation comes in .. and it is up to the parents to make sure that is not happening .. I asked my mom right after I won a big one and was going to a bigger one if I could have my back molars pulled so my cheek bones would look higher and she said NOOOOOO .. thank goodness I have a good mom

I've choreographed for some pageant girls and there were some I refused to teach anymore because of the parents. They are little kids...never ceases to amaze me

sick on the documentary...the parents are crying when the kid wins AND looses. the kids don't really care. the losers trash the competition with the child there. how sad

I used to strap firecrackers to barbies...aside from that, pageants are alright if the kid can be just that a kid nothing more nothing less...it is ridiculous when the parent decides that the child needs to wear spray on tan crap or some revealing dress *cough*Jon Benet*cough*

the modeling part has these 5 yr olds ripping clothes off. I don't have a problem with the pageants...just the way the kids are pushed and the way the are made up. I'm glad my ex sister in law lets her little girl be a little girl

If anyone left a barbie in my yard, I'd pull off their heads and tie their hands together and slide them down a string into the mud.. they eventually got buried in the mud and I dug them up years later... every time I hear that song Doll Parts, I think of those barbies...

I am watching a special on TV about little girls in pageants...what's your opinion?

as a former dance teacher...i've had my fill of the stage parents that think their 3 yr old is a prima ballerina and should be front and center
kids seem to grow up quickly these days!!! There seems to be a loss of not only youth, but of innocense...

thses arnt competitions for the kids but for the mothers...one up manship..and alot of *****ing...these little girls dont know ant different and it is in a way a form of abuse ...this is my opinion...my son has his hobbys including guitar and is very gifted at it..but its his choice to go and will be his choice what he does with it
