if someone, male or female has never been married...what would they have in common with someone who has been married and now divorced? i just don't think that they would be a good match because the divorced person would seem to have more knowledge about life in general, please don't think by me saying that, that i think single, never married people aren't smart, i'm just curious

Yeah knowledge doesn't equal wisdom anyway.

Marriage is not a smart pill, hell on occassion I doubt my own intelligence, but then I come back to my senses |

Since my divorce I've dated people that were never married or had children & ended up feeling that they were,in fact, clueless in many ways so I agree with ya.

I've been married, once, and all I really learned was that I married the wrong person. Marriage and divorce may (or may not) give one some additional insight into the intricacies of marriage and divorce. But marriage and divorce don't necessarily impart any special wisdom re: life in general. Some people are clearly wisdom-resistent, regardless of how many times they've been married. |

I have been married 5 times ( a long story) 3 of these divorces were totally my fault ( through my alcoholism, they had had enough) but to this day I don't feel like I am any more in tune with life or any more intelligent, in fact I feel I have more to learn than the next person.
