Silly British woman, tea is for drinking, not eating! Afternoon tea is a civilized institution, with scones, jam and clotted cream. Also possible; sandwiches (in Cornwall ideally crab), sponge cake and either tea or coffee. As I said a civilized matter, so posssibly not that common in certain of the colonies. |
