my daughter is 6.and is in counsling.i got rid of the mom over 2 years ago and if i so much as lay a hand on her a## the mom will turn me in.grounding is working.but you know kids they are good.what is a guy to do if you cant spank that a##.she needs to respect me.and she is doing bad in school she is in 1 grade.

I have found taking away privledges works well. My kids love the internet...webkinz, go figure!..but if they lose that for a day or two, they learn I mean business.

she just lost that for 2 days for not going to bed.i told her tonight if her grades are not better next time she gets no tv internet you name it tell next report card.she is a very strong willed child

this angers me when i was growing up we got are ass kicked and not that i believe you should be beating the hell out of them but i believe that this is why our kids today are so out of controll.

Try some positive reenforcement...ask her if she wants to go anywhere...spend a lot of quality time with her. If you show her you love her and you want to spend time with her, she will eventually stop acting out. If she does not, the root of the problem needs to be found and dealt with.

it might be a cry for attention or stop spoiling her and giving her every thing she wants just what ever you do dont start the pill popping game |

Kids just cant take a good punch like we used to...I used to get my ass beat with whatever was handy....Despite a slight lisp and a gimp leg I turned out just fine!! ( kidding

Strong willed or not. spanking her a$$ as you put it isn't the answer. never has been. have you tried to reason with her? have you even thought that you might be the reason that she's acting up because she thinks that you don't love her? wow. I raised my sisters. and myself. That being said, both of my parents were in the home. I got pregnant at 17 and gave the baby for adoption rather than marry her father and have a ****ty relationship that would end up in divorce. what do you think that your divorce or... how did you put it... oh... "got rid of the mom" Lets think here. ya think she might be acting out because you got rid of HER mom. why? because she wasn't good enough? i don't know. you think your 6 year old might think that you may just get rid of her too?

6 is way too young for an ipod how about no allowance or ask the teacher for extra pratice work shes 6 how bad can she be doing
