Don't need my organs with me so might as well let someone else use them. My dad had a liver transplant about 8 years ago. It gave him 4 more years of life.

Keep in mind that along with having it noted on yoru drivers licence, you also have to inform your family. You wont be around to give final consent and if your fam doesn't sign off on it, the organs go with you.

Make sure your family knows your wishes, those organs are only good for a short period of time and if mom/hubby/sister are arguing...people could be dying.

I dated this man for 6 yrs....when he found out I was a donor...he said he wouldn't marry me...

I was like what???

He said he wanted his wife to be whole in death....

I told him the only whole in death is the hole i am going to be put in....

He said ni..I mean..I would want ur heart and soul to be all there... again...

So..I told him ....I would keep my soul for me....I would give my heart to who ever needed it...and he wouldn't have to worry about being married....

then told him ...I want to be creamated....

so yep..i am a Donor and proud to be....
