Awaken The Dreamer

Peering upon light darkened eyes
Hearing the words
She's whispered in sighs.
Feeling her world,
Destroyed to it's core,
Left her heart broken,
The little girl hides
In torment once more.

The tune in her memory
Stuck in one place,
Skipping again to sorrow's refrain.
She should be happy
But her world is so dark,
Smiles fade quickly
As pain strikes it mark.

The rays of her hope
Sifted through cloud,
Love torn and weary,
Removed by the crowd.

More questions than answers
The cycle goes on.
Breaking her heartstrings
The music now gone.

She trudges through mists
Of what we call life,
Existing she does,
Gathering strife.
Where is her knight
To slay this dark beast,
And where is the kiss
To set her soul free?
She's tired of waiting,
This damsel so fair,
Caught in the darkess,
Cursed in despair.

She must awaken the dreamer
With offering of shards,
The remnants remained
Of her once broken heart.

Good write bro'! Might I suggest some separation of topics though. The eyes tend to get lost in a jumble of words.
