And there you have it, you're implying that we should wait until he gets out of office to critisize. You may want to proof read your own writing. It is our civil duty to keep the presidant in line;^] Mr. Turtle: OH, I see now. That is why everyone on the left is bashing President Bush because they DISAGREE with President. I am oh, so, very sorry that I did not know I should have BASHED Clinton for sexual promiscuity in the Oval Office, an office I might add, that President Ronald Reagan respected so much that he never removed his suit jacket. Oh, yes, today's generation, filled with sexual promiscuity, fly-off-the handle tempers, temper tantrums, left wing libbers and the like will change things. Hmmm, I grew up in the 60's, and that generation did not change anything, just rotted out morality and decency and 'yea man, drugs will get ya higher to God, yea man, really groovy.' (Obviously I did not partake of the hippie movement.) But, conservatives are still here, and the world in general is still filled with family values, morality, pro-life, proper education, respect for their elders, etc. The hippies only have a muddy farm field to remember, and yea, they too thought they would change the world. Lindyy - I survived the 60's. PTL |

Lindyy, i am sorry that I ever argued with you, your profile picture says it all. Ms. Aspiring: I am half afraid to ask, but which picture? I just changed this morning. I have lots more in my profile if you want to view and see, that there are many sides to a person, which makes up the whole person. I am very conservative, brought up my sons that way, but allowed them to express themselves as long as they were respectful to others. They were brought up to NEVER hit a woman under ANY circumstance. They both said "What if she hits first?" My reply - "You have 2 legs and 2 feet, use them and walk away." My youngest son was in class one day in high school. A young girl was off of her bipolar medicine and acting quite radical. of course, my son had to open his smart mouth trap and she in turn started beating on him. He in turn was yelling to his friends 'get her off of me, if I touch her my Mom will kill me.' Well, I get a call from the vice principal - "You can be proud of your son, but he is suspended for 2 days for using foul language." Then, I in turn had to battle for "in school suspension." Send him home for suspension? NO WAY. That is a vacation, the stupid fools that run a school. My won was not too happy with me. OH WELL Lindyy |

Lindyy, I have 2 sons and a daughter and if my daughter ever heard me say that to my sons she'd be ecstatic ...lol I did teach my kids to walk away but I also taught them all how to box, my daughter as well, just in case walking wasn't an option. Boxing gave them the confidence to walk away from just about everything.... |

dragon...is your real name Cindy Sheehan? cause if it was that would explain a lot... oh yeah lets pick on a grieving mother.. cutelittledevilsmom....... Cindy Sheehan a grieving mother? Northeryanke referred to her as a disingenuous person in one of his posts. He is right; she is a "disingenuous person" who has shown disrespect for her son and uses his death for her own cause. If you loved your son, you don't use his death to enrich yourself financially and attempt to make yourself famous, particularly when your entire family is against it. Are you aware her family has disowned her? Are you aware her husband divorced her, because he hates what she is doing to their son's memory? When your husband divorces you because what you are doing is so repugnant, something is very amiss. Leahmarie do you think a grieving person is rational?Shame on her family for not supporting her in her grief...and fuk her husband for abandoning her.she supported her son as a soldier, she wasn't for the war and i personally don't think she got rich protesting the war.she wanted to confront the man responsible for her sons death.George bush. I find it repugnant that compassion goes out the window when these things happened. You should get with ann coulter. She attacks grieving widows . I love my country,i support the soldiers but this war is bull****. i will also further caution you no one on this thread will ever, ever know the real facts because they have been twisted to fit the view of whose's speaking them, In my view Bush is a scary man with the brain of a pea and very little personality or ability to inspire people except thru scare tactics. But thats just a poor girls opimion. cutelittledevil...... Of course a grieving person is not rational. However, I am not talking about grieving persons in general; I am talking about Cindy Sheehan. Among the many sums of money Sheehan received was a DOD of a quarter of a million dollars in death benefits because of her son dying in Iraq. Let's talk about Cindy's time after her son died. She had plenty of time to buy herself a Volkswagon Beetle Convertible, but no time to arrange for a grave stone for her son's grave, even though it was free. After two years, she finally did so only because of the bad publicity involved in her lack of compassion for her son's grave. Of course, we all know why she didn't have the time to take care of Casey's grave. Why she was too busy protesting and getting arrested. |

That is so judgemental, maybe since it was being provided by the military, and she was so angry with the military, she saw that as a slap in the face, and I know when my aunt died it took almost a year to get one. And how do you know what she got? Did you see the check? |

If she didn't want the military to pay for the grave stone, she could have purchased one herself. No, I didn't see the check, but it was a DOD payment, which was standard at the time. |

i still do not understand why this is a current event seems it should be a joke or music but hey what do i know robin, the original intent of the thread was a discussion on whether or not people should HAVE the right to make fun of our current president. that's pretty current, methinks. if you say so but nowhere do you ask that gquestion on the first page and from other times i read it i do not recall seeing it anywhere thes was a music video on you tube making a joke of the president which is fine but it should be in music or jokes and the title suggest that it should be in jokes it is not a current event not that i care it is just the issue of moving others post that are possibly in the wrong forum yet here this is in the wrong forum |

To my dismay, he used that in some of the debates he and I enjoyed having. Today is Brian's birthday. He would have been 34 years old if he had not been killed. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRIAN, LOVE YOU FOREVER AND EVER!! Love, Mom Lindyy - Forever Brian's Mom |

I'm sorry you're so close minded and don't believe in freedom of speech when talking about the presidant, guess what, that "bashing" you're talking about was *gasp* a criticism of the presidant. What happened to the humor, I was kind of partial to this thread...then again putting up anything that is making light of the president is liable to recieve some bad publicity, luckily for me I don't care.

Long live freedom of speech & my right to call Bush a hack & a failure. Proud Progessive;^] Right. And many of the same conservatives who voted for Nixon also voted for Bush. Two huge mistakes. Maybe they shouldn't have been brainwashed by the rhetoric of either. They remind me of lemmings who will follow each other off the cliff. Nixon kept us in Vietnam and his wage-price controls led to double-digit inflation. I wonder what those same conservatives thought when he had to resign to avoid being impeached for Watergate. Bush Jr. got us involved in Iraq, where we will stay if a Republican gains the White House. He is responsible for the present housing crisis and his economic policies have been a disaster for the middle class. http://hnn.us/articles/41985.html http://www.childrensdefense.org/site/DocServer/housing_crisis.pdf?docID=862 Proud Independent Progressive |
