I got on to a previous site expecting to mess with some bon bon eating, hair in curlers, Bob Barker watching, Soap taping trailer trash. No other intentions.
Shame on me for my motivation and for judging.  
Within 2 months I was on a plane to Amsterdam to meet a new friend. I have met several friends in person and talked with even more on the phone or skype. I have been with a fantastic woman (from that site) for over year. A JSH friend is staying with me right now while he puts his CA life together. Stay open to the possibilities!

How many of you have thought that on here, not just JSH, and it turned out to be a false alarm? I have been on various dating sites for a total of 15 months. I thought I had meant my dream guy when I met the first guy from a dating site. He was tall, dark, handsome, well-dressed, articulate and full of personality. He turned out to be a control freak. I have met a total of 11 men in these 15 months. Of those 11 men, eight of them posted pictures that were 10 to 20 years old. As a result, when they showed up, I honestly had no idea who they were. The optimist in me has given up. I took my pictures down and just participate in the threads since I don't believe I will meet anyone other than guys who post old pictures. |
