Don't you think that the "extra" meat may also lead to health problems?
My best friend is overweight and suffers from diabetes, heart problems,
sleep apnea, just to mention a few. I don't think we need to be
obsessed with our weight and keeping thin, but I do believe we are all
responsible for living a healthy lifestyle

Very true, but sometimes the first thing "us" bigger ppl need is
acceptance.

I know its what you think that counts, but a little support always
helps. And if, after that the person still, is has probs like you say,
only they can change it.

I Know a women can be bigger and heathly. Im not talking huge, just a
women with a little extra. Of course there is issues with weight, and
they have to keep it under control. But I like a few extra pounds,
chubby.

I think being healthy is a main concern. In America we obsess over
weight. Why? cause food is so easy to get. You don't see many over
weight people in the 3rd world countries.

I think we should take some responsibility for ourselves. And yes allot
of over weight people have a problem with being accepted for who they
are.

I had one of my daughters turn to Meth as a way to loose weight cause
she did not have the self-esteem as her other sisters did when they
started to gain a little bit of weight. Instead of excersing like I
suggested and eating lighter, she went to drugs. She is now 2 years
clean, and has a better out look on life.

I hope that more people out there would just not be so obsessed over how
a person looks, but who they are inside.

I agree that people MIGHT need to be careful about being overweight, or
be careful, as well about being underweight, but the main problem, in
the USA is NOT a weight problem, but a spiritual problem. There is too
much focuss on the OUTWARD, MATERIAL things, on this earth and not
enough focuss on the spiritual, inward, person of the heart.
