Do your responces ask your opinion or give you something to respond to? Do you have to keep asking questions and making new replies to keep a conversation going?
I guess Im unlucky. I met a girl who actually asked for my opinion and included questions in her responce to make conversations easier and last longer. but she lived to far away.  Seems like everyone I talk with now, just gives direct replies, to avoid any effort or interests.
Rejection sucks

I hate when people simply answer the question or respond with something like "ok" or "lol". I try to keep the conversation going.

I always have great, ongoing, open-ended e-mail discussions with everybody who writes to me. Unfortunately, they're all 897,000 miles away. Anyone closer than that a.) won't write to me, and b.) won't answer when I write to them. So that's kind of a dead issue.

Anyone who writes to me is old enough to be my dad, or is only interested in friendship. Getting "the friend speech" completely sucks.
