Another time I left her a bouquet of flowers on her doorstep with a little card that read " Where ever you are I will be there.
Then I left another bouquet of flowers on her windshield with the Savage Gardens cd and another note that said play this Cd song: I knew I loved you before I met you, and remember I where ever you are I will always be with you. Then I left her another bouquet at work with another card that read just remember I will always be there. She was just overwhelmed and couldn't quit crying |

Romance usually requires more then one... So I don't have much to offer here.
It is simply as a result of the little things when we are together. |

Another time when I was with someone else one day I went to the jewelers and picked up this cute promise ring and took it to the florist and had flowers delivered, and tied the ring to a straemer.
Then I went home and right before they delivered it I jumped in the shower. then when she got the flowers and saw the ring tied to the streamer she was so excited she ran in the shower to thank me and I pulled her in the shower with me clothes and all. I can't help it I am a hopeless romantic. So many other things I have done, I could probably give men classes |

Too bad My ex fiance decided one day that she was just not happy anymore... broke my heart After all that???? AAWWWWW .. im sorry to hear that Yep every once in a while I would run a tub of hot water and carry her into the bathroom and set her donw, and soak her feet. then I had some pumice foot soap that I would use then I would rinse, then I would pick her up set her in a chair, and dry her feet and rub this sweet smeeling foot oil on her feet. But sometimes all those things are not good enough....She really did break my heart I used to fall asleep at night running my fingers through her hair |

Wait! I've learned something here!
If I change up my thinking on romance.. I will most likely be in the market for a new girlfriend! I'll just stick with being me. |

Wait! I've learned something here! If I change up my thinking on romance.. I will most likely be in the market for a new girlfriend! I'll just stick with being me. Good idea. Grand gestures cause complacency and lose their magic if you do them all the time. I prefer to be reminded every day of the love that inspires the thought of the grand gestures. |

Whats Romance/Romantic exactly? This post by another poster (who happens to be on the phone with me, and in a power outage) in a different thread might answer your question.... Love IS celebrated every day.
Romance, however, takes varying forms. Romance is not an action, but rather a perspective, a feeling and an attitude. A romantic man is not necesarily the one who buys gifts. He is the one who remembers how you make him feel and appreciates that. His appreciation comes out in words and in deeds. Telling you he loves you, cooking you dinner. Bringing you coffee or a glass of whatever so you don't have to get up. The kiss before you leave and the smile on his face the next time he sees you. Leaving the toilet seat(s) down, rinsing his dishes, or washing them. The sound in his voice when he talks about his feelings. The way he instinctively sleeps closer to you in bed, or slides to your side when you get up. All these things are romance. It is up to both of us, men and women, to keep this alive and not get complacent. It takes two to tango. heart |

I don't know anything about that romantic stuff. If I like a gal, I just stop on the side of the road and pick her some pretty flowers, Or cook up a batch of my home grown sweet corn. Or hold her hair out of the way while she vomits. None of that is romantic though. I honestly think they are You are kidding me right? After Hurricane Mitch in Central America things were kind of tough on folks. My baby went over to check on some neighbors to see if they were alright and had plenty to eat. She walked through some pretty nasty flood waters to do this thing. While she was gone, I heated up some water, and when she returned I gave her a warm bath right there on the front porch. I didn't do it to be romantic. I did it because I loved her (still do) and did not want her to get sick. |

Then there is the time that I spent two months panning gold out of a river in Honduras so I could have a wedding band custom made for her.
Trust me... It was not very romantic. |
