Yeah, I just think those terms are a little over used.

Chicks just want a dude who will be there everything they have ever wanted.....and since all girls love Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and sh*t like that, they want what those girls got....Prince Charming, or a Knight in shining armor. Personally, I think they all just want a man who is respectful, honest, has good looks, great in the sac, makes them laugh, good in the sac, laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh

I really think we just use that metaphorically. Most of us would just settle for a decent guy capable of holding a conversation with us. Helps if he can make you laugh and various other things too, but they don't REALLY have to be a night in shining armour or prince charming. lol Try being a knight in shining armour to the new independent woman. You might get your head bit off!

then you add to the mix the fact that our pop culture expects us to be barbie and you have us needing a man to rescue us because we are being fed that no matter what we has woman are not enough .. getting off of soapbox ...

I agree. Your told that that's what you should look for. I mean look at every love movie and kids movies and cartoons (disney). It's all the same story.

Me and my friends use the word Prince not to discribe the same guy but in place of the perfect match for each of us.
When I say I want a Prince I don't mean the guy in all the movies, I mean the guy that meants my dreams not anyone else's.

And all this time I thought the girls were looking for a cowboy. Oh how could I have been so wrong!

I could handle a cowboy. But he'd have to be the John Wayne kind, not the Eli Wallach variety. And none of that pilgrim stuff!
