Is there a risk in meeting someone you don't know?

The way you're going about it is the absolute best way that I know of. It helps if you make sure they don't follow you home 
Oh, and be sure you're letting others you know where you're going, what he looks like, etc... |

there is certainly a risk. there have been bad experiences.
it is an excellent idea to make it public with an easy way out for you - and also a great idea to have a friend along or nearby - until you get a chance to know each other better of course. no reasonable guy would object to this in any way!

Ive never had a bad experience meeting anyone!!!
 Some werent exactly for me but Ive made some great friends as well!! 
But.........you definately have to talk to this person for awhile, talk, cam, whatever you have to do, skype, and then meet. |

Of course there is a risk. But there is also a risk going to work, to school, to the supermarket. Risk is what life is about.
Don't worry too much. I have personally met 30 or so people off line from various daring sites. It's really not as bad as the media makes it out to be. But it sounds like you are taking all the right precautions though. You just make sure that you have been talking to this person a while, |
