certainly each one has heard to give, but what if it meant to give truth, not money, and all have used it to make the churches the richest business in history, and even Jesus ran them out of the temple for doing it

i believe you have hit the nail on the head....what each think is perfect be it's god, so there are many just as the bible said, but it said the defintion of god was one thing above all, truth!

well to be logical we cannot deny any answer that may be true or false cause we have no way to get closer tothe answer of there being a god or a higher up.

To answer the question of "How has religion brought us war and bloodshed" actually, a lot of things have been done in the name of religion.

The Holy Wars
The Inquisition
Iraq war (to the Muslims, this war is predominately based upon money (oil) and religion...Christians vs Muslims)

You can look through history and see a lot of wars fought upon a basis of religion, like any war it also has other factors...the civil war wasn't just about slavery (not saying that war had anything to do with religion, The Civil War didn't...but it had other contributing factors aside from slavery).

A lot of horrible things have happened in the NAME of religion(s)...the thing to keep in mind is that it doesn't always reflect the basis and foundation upon what that religion's core beliefs are...but reflects the hearts of the leaders of those religions. A religion is only as pure as the soul of the ones in current power, and humans are fallible and corruptable.

it said all men are brothers, and all family, but churches and religion say anything unlike you is wrong, and to say another living thing is wrong, is to judge, and to judge is was told us we would not do if we seen the real truth, that the real truth would be someting so simple a child can understand and make nothing look at another as bad again....there is such truth that make all the pieces of civilization fit together like a perfect puzzle....just me

In no way do I see Christians, or any other belivers and week or insignificant. On the contary, my whole emphasis was to live life the way you see fit, sick to your convictions, do what is best for you regardless of what other people may think or say. I know I can't control my life due to the fact that my circumstances, and my situations won't let me. I'm just a human. You made a good point, about how humans have contorted religion to their own benifet, and that it is in our nature to fight and be evil. But in who's name are people fighting? For what case are people being killed everyday? I don't blame religion for the problems in the world today because in the end. We are the ones that made this planet what it is. But I personally think it would be a better place without it.

Can you please tell me where and what religion says anything unlike you is wrong? My religion does not say that. In fact, the bible says do not judge. Maybe you should pick up a copy.

this is what i have seen in some religion(this WAS in my own)where people think they know what to go by,they think their religion is the right one and if others dont believe then they immediatly say their going to hell because they think they know,for where i believe we already live in hell(war,drugs,murder,etc.). For all we know all religion is wrong or one could actually be right or vice versa.

i know the bible my friend, and it does say not to judge, as it say all things together to be blended, as one word alone cannot make logic or truth, neither one sentence alone, but it was said that all the word must be recieved to follow truth, and many have hidden that is says we are al perfect, made in gods image, bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh.....that sounds like we are the same, so i will always defend those that are bullied by only preaching that thiefs and murders and fags are bad and don't get to go to heaven....when the very bible say all are born into the world speaking lies, so just to say we dont know all the truth, and the first thing one has to know to hear all the bible is that is is prophecy, which means it is not commandments, rather statments of fact, so it does not condem any, so when pepole are stopped being told that they are hell bound and fear tactics are used when god said he wass love, well the lies are plain to see, and it said to always speak truth, and seemed jesus beat people in the temple so he judged those that stole from his friends, and i only say aloud the truth when anything try to steal anothers peace by saying they are wrong.....truth can show how each is right

It upsets me that people of my religion have made you think that all christians are like this. I have never and will never tell someone they are going to hell. I dont know whos going to hell. You are right, none of us know whats right.

i think my dear we do each know what is right, but we have been taught not to believe in ourself, as you do know the truth, as it was written that the laws of god shall be written on each mans heart, so than who need tell us the way, for truth shall always point each man to his own heart, as the kingdom of heaven it said lie within.....what each thing believe it correct...if we reason together as wise beings that we are we can find ALL truth, since many have come before us and told us hints to find it when the time was at hand, and questions are the start of it....only a dictator lead by force and fear, so we know the real truth will never do such, but convince by simple logic, that children will love and floursih when hear, but so called wise will try to stomp out, just as hilter, as to anything that has evil intentions, questions will never be welcomed

I was born in the ministry. I think back to all the times I was obligated to be something I wasn't. I for one will not put up a smoke screen to make anyone else happy. Being born in an atmosphere where religion is the main priority, and beliving other wise you would be automaticly labeled as inferior or incompitant. That's what pushes me away from Christianity, and the fact that the worst people alive are Christans because I have experianced first hand that they claim to be "holy" than thou. They say that they hold the "key" to everlasting peace and harmony. But, they themselves are the most decietfull conviving, and judgemental people I have ever encountered.

But, I am not saying that all Christians are bad. Nor do I see them as all to be the same. I was told to pay my ties and for what? So the pastor can ride fast and get somes rims on his truck?

god is only what you become when you die....we are only here to gather wisdom and experience, as what grown thing can learn how to drive without ever being in a car.....the earth is but a womb itself, to birth truth, god, wisdom....all the same....the only thing the bible ever said was god was truth....it has been made to look as it has purpose, so that we would have many wars, and many fights, and many diseases.....but how would we ever understand perfect if we had not come here first? How would we know the splendor of never having to FEAR again if we had always been without....nothing can know night without first seeing day....cold does not even exist if we do not have HOT....

lol....the very bible says never to ask for anthing, that god will provide as he does for the sparrows, so even to ask for a dime, is to not speak all the truth....if god lie in the hearts of man as he said he did, than aonther man will be moved to help when he see the good reason to help, simple as that....it was said to love thy neighbor, which we all see is the only way to have happy lives, as your neigbor will torment you if you are happy and he is not, so we none get to be happy till we all wok together on it....every wise man or women that ever spoke said the same thing, and none of them dispute one another....
