Shadows


Its all around

and closing fast

I fight hard

until at last



It closes in

and covers me

an endles ocean

a blackened sea



I feel it twist

I feel it writhe

I feel it coat

my insides



I feel warm

but know im cold

I know im young

but feel old



I start to cry

for all is lost

I want to dye

ill pay the cost



I close my eyes

and think its done

but I find

its just begun



I cannot go

untill my time

I strengthen my soul

I steel my mind



I now except

that this must be

this odd fealing

thats part of me



untill my time

I will remain

forever marked

with this pain



I now know

what i must do

I must be human

and a shadow too.
