A Dedication to My Son

It was an early cold November morning, when the arrival of my bouncing little rock star was announced,

I still remember how he use to rock and roll inside me,
Like a bursting star waiting to be set free.

He was your typical baby, full of energy and noise,

As he grew into a toddler, he loved to move his body to the rhythm of the music playing on the sterio.

Although his name is Robby, to me he was "My Pumpkin".

I cannot believe how quickly the years have gone by.

Robby has turned into a fine young man, still full of energy, but alive with goals and dreams.

He dreams of days of fame, rocking and singing to country/western tunes.

My son has a heart of gold, giving his love so deeply, so completely.

Whatever he chooses to do,
I will back him 100 per cent.

He came into this world, full of vibrance and spirit.
He brings joy into who evers heart he touches.

As he grows in body and mind,
He will take a special lady into his life.

My son, I wish you the very best in all that you do,
I cherish the moments we spend together.

No matter where our lives may lead, whether near or far apart,
You are forever in my thoughts, forever in my heart.

I used to dream of the same thing as your son,,unfortunately I would not listen to my mother...wish I had. He is very lucky to have a mom who backs him, some call us pushy mothers but..I wish I had listened. Good luck to Robbie and may he make it so he can show you how much he loves you by saying..."Thank you for the country music Entertainer of the Year award, but especially,, Thanks Mom I love you". I wish you that.
