Twists and turns

It's funny how life twists and turns
When you're young with life that burns,
Perhaps a song on the radio that plays,
Gives way to thoughts of our darker days,
Still yet we drift to a lover's touch unknown,
Sending waves of passion as echoes drone.
When confusion sets in, another twist begins.
Be not fearful for life will turn again,
Consuming the present, we live and burn.
Perhaps concealing a lover yearned,
Learn deep the lessons of twists and turns,
For only once we live and learn.
Live your life in renewed heart
For life shall twist and turn
From the very start.
