I have to settle for a hot shower

You know I was in a wheelchair for 2 months alittle over a year ago. I was in a bad car accident and broke my heel. I have a plate and nine screws. I was confined to bed for 2 months with my foot up and had to maneuver with a chair...It was definitely a learning and humbling experience for me! It's funny how differently people treat you. and...how different when you go from a wheelchair to crutches to a cane...I think it made me a better person It also made me realize who my friends were...so I know what you are saying about showers!

Fortunately I was born without the ability to walk so in that sense I am better off than someone who is having to readjust. Can't miss what you never had. And the way I see it, you either accept me for who I am or get out of my life. I refuse to change to suit anybody. It's actually kinda cool how I have my bathtub set up. It is kind of like a shower bench and the seat removes and attatches to a rolling part that my aide brings over to my bed and I slide over, she pushes it back over to the tub, and slides the seat back over the bathtub. But I wouldn't change a thing about myself even if I could because then I would not be who I am today.

and my foot is killing me right now... I try my best to ignore it..take my glucosamine and keep it elevated whenever I can...
