Oh, man, I am already done with winter. Why doesn't it just quit? This could interfere with fishing.

I am getting a Dodge minivan. It is a 1985. Friend at work and her husband are going to let me pay it out on payments. I have a tent and camping supplies. I have accumulated a lot of vacation time. I love my old Chevy car but am excited about getting the minivan. Have already thought about ditching the back seats in the shed. I am afraid I am coming down with a bad case of spring fever. Cooped up all winter and the sunshiny weather we had today really didn't help my spring fever at all.

my brother in law used to have a Suburban and he ditched the back seats out of it when we would go camping but that was because every time we went camping,it would storm so he figured he wanted something stirdier than a tent

Hey, that is a good idea. You never know when it might rain. Makes a lot of sense to me. I remember the last time we went to Wild Bill's out on the other side of Ralph on Hwy 14 it came a gusher of rain and we had to abandoned the tents and go to the vehicles. I just hate soggy hamburgers off the grill.

last time i went camping.we were supposed to float from the Kings River bridge, down to Stoney Point but it got dark and we had to camp somewheres between the bridge and stoney point.when we woke up the next morning,it felt like we were on a water bed,so we immediately abandoned the tent and had to walk for miles til we could find someone to take us back home.
it sucked,we lost about $700 worth of camping and fishing supplies |

I agree. That does suck. Experiences like that stick with ya. I remember fishing one time with a nice rod and reel. I had the pole on a stick like a wye. Got bored and nodded off. Woke up to find the pole going down the water. I really liked that pole, too.

yeah i can remember fishing at a lake with my brother in law (can't remember the name of it) and he was using perch for bait.while he was leaving one rod cast out fishing for cat fish,he was about 30 yards away fishing for bass with another rod.all of a sudden his cat fish rod just shot into the water like a rocket!.he dove in trying to grab it and ended up scratching himself all up.
he got his rod back but whatever it was took the bait and broke his line.he was using about 20 lb test line too! |
