assuming the backpacks are on the bus the figure I get is 18,193. if not than it is 14 like everyone else says
14 legs...
The back packs are probbley in the storeage area under the bus. Poor kitties! |
there are seven girls in a bus each girl has seven backpacks. in each backpack there are seven big cats. for each big cat there are seven kittens. how many legs are in the bus....not a trick question. 7 girls = 2 legs apiece = 14 legs (7 X 2 = 14) 7 backpacks per girl = 49 backpacks (7X7=49) 49 backpacks = 7 big cats = 343 big cats = 1372 legs on big cats (49X7=343X4=1372) 343 big cats = 7 kittens each = 3401 kittens = 9604 kitten legs 343X7=3401X4=9604) 1372 big cat legs + 9604 kitten legs + 14 girl legs = 1372 9604 + 14 10990 legs total |

10,992

I just checked my math apparently I goofed up somewhere the first time. it is 10990. oh, well, noone is perfect

I win thank you very much, now where is my prize? you musta missed where the OP said there was no bus driver.. |
That's it?? RVguy comes in, makes two posts, then disappears?? Hey... that was a drive-by riddling! On a BUS nonetheless! |
um...do we count the legs on the seats of the bus, too?
good call miss lulu..but we havent been told how many seats there are on the bus to multiply the legs with..
Just use the information given. Notice how he said it wasn't a trick question. Just do the math.
There aren't any "legs" in the bus. There are only girls, cats etc. Ta-da

There aren't any "legs" in the bus. There are only girls, cats etc. Ta-da umm..ima girl..i have legs...they're attached to me... somehow i think the bus has legs IN IT.. |
Just use the information given. Notice how he said it wasn't a trick question. Just do the math. the math's easy. he only said that there were seven girls in the bus...just because they OWN said cats and backpacks doesn't mean that they are ON the bus... so...14 little girl legs. um, and then the seat legs, lol. |

OK OK OK!
Since no one knows this joke - and it's an OOOOOOLD one... He SCREWED IT UP! The question was supposed to be "How many legs are ON the bus?" Of course you're supposed to be doing all this counting and multiplying when he announces: "None! Buses have WHEELS!" edit: Ahh... now scrolling up I see eileen has already heard this one before as well. |

just like the old riddle......."as i was walking to saint eives,i met a man with 7 wives",,etc..but the op said that it was not a trick question though..right?
