A New Lease

Tonight I sit alone again,
Wonder where to begin.
Received a note, Jessie boy,
Thanked me well it was a joy.

To know I did a little thing,
Made my soul, my heart did sing.
Told me then he’s doing fine,
Smile so bright it did shine.

Filled my heart, was his goal,
Make me smile, with his soul.
Gave me hope, gave me dream,
Gave me life it does seem.

Gave me love, gave me fire
Gave me will, fulfilled desire.
Now I shed a tear tonight,
Searching now within the light.

See a face that’s bright and clear,
Knowing love could be so near.
Tears and sighs I did release,
Life reborn, a brand new lease.
