Awww but think of the Possibilities of what could happen if one was only to take a few Necessary steps and all the mistakes it could save in the future. You know as well as I do if you put a poster of a missing child outside a Grocery Store on the front of there Windows do you not have to ask for permission in order to do so? Humm so you see what I'm getting at now if you post something on someone elses website you have to consider the rules also now if you owned a site would it not be up to you what was put there and would rather that others at least contact you first and give you the choice of what they would consider. You may actually find out your more welcome with open arms by contacting the site owners first. It is all out of RESPECT for another. Very simple steps can be taken in the future in order to make things much easier and for you to get the word out. It's all good but do not agree on the way it was handled. Oh and by the way please don't patronize me nor lecture me about respect by using you caps. I did something to help spread the word on how people don't have to wait to get in a car and see yellow road signs or listen to the radio to be aware of a missing child. Did you grant permission for those signs on the road or when they jam your favorite episode of lost when an amber alert is issued? Whatever it's over. I tried. |

Hi folks,
A few things here: - It is against the rules to post advertisements for other websites on the message boards. We let a few things slide like posting youtube video links, etc., but for the most part we enforce the rule fairly strictly. - The topic in question "looked" like an advertisement, which is why it was deleted. We, unfortunately, get a lot of sneaky people posting what looks like a harmless topic, but in fact is a trick to get you to visit another website. Because we don't have a lot of time to investigate every single topic posted like this to ensure it's truly legitimate, we delete them as a general rule. - In this case, I looked into the website and upon further review, it looks legit, so we'll repost the topic. - HOWEVER, in the future, ANY protests of mod actions that are posted in the forums will be deleted immediately and the poster will be suspended. The forums are NOT the proper venue to protest any moderator actions. Instead, you should just email one of the mods, myself, or Vanchau, and we will look into the situation and take the appropriate action. Remember everyone that the moderators are here for YOUR benefit. They help make the site safe and fun for everyone. You may not agree with every single decision they make, but the good they do FAR outweighs any minor disagreements you may have with them. We will not allow them to be needlessly bashed on the forums, just as we would not allow YOU to be needlessly bashed on the forums. If you have an issue with any mods, take it up with me. I'll be happy to listen to your greivance and respond. But if you take it up on the boards, I guarantee that in the future, you won't receive the response you want. |
