I was walking through the store with my daughter the other night, and noticed all the rows of heart shaped boxes of chocolate, and was silently griping about how yet again, I'm alone for Valentine's Day this year, when it finally hit me. The REAL reason for all the chocolate the stores sell for Valentine's Day is so that women like me, who were raised that chocolate really does make it better, can buy themselves large quantities of it, without raising eyebrows, so we can console ourselves for not having men in our lives that not only love us but celebrate that fact on February 14th. Any thoughts?

At least Valentines Day is something of a real holiday. In Michigan we have a holiday called Sweetest Day. Its exactly like V-Day but before Christmas. And it is documented as a holiday created by a company to increase profits. Even with that I love V-Day and Sweetest Day, though I have never had a date on either.
