“Love Like That”

You see a couple standing over there.
Sometimes it is hard not to stare.
Watching them they seem lost in space.
As they look into each others face.

You think back remembering when.
At one time that is where you have been.
As you stared into your lovers eyes.
At times till you watched the sunrise.

How at times we yearn for those days again.
Then we wonder at times are we searching in vain.
Was it meant for us instead to be alone?
And learn how to be on our own.

Is there a reason in life for this?
Will we again someday seal love with a kiss?
Could it be this is just a test?
And in the end we will be blessed.

With a love that will shine.
And will be so divine.
It will be beyond anything we could guess.
Or even words that we could express.
How sweet it would be.
Again to have a love like that to see.

I wondered that several years ago myself. Everytime I saw a couple holding hands or walking arm in arm, I was wondering if I would ever get that back. Well, now I know I will.
