The pass week or so or when ever I go to start up this program it goes to auto update and it say's error retrieving updates.
Not sure if I should uninstall and reintall or what. |

Go to their website and download the most current version after completely uninstalling the previous version. It may help.

I have been getting the same thing for about a 2 weeks. If you do re-install please post if it helped or not. I have very slow internet here and hate to download something that big if it isn't going to fix the problem.

I redownload the ad-aware software but it seem's like a different version then the one I had previews had on my computer.
Hopefully this versions works better, it seems to have updated already for me. That is after removing all of the older versions first before downloading the newer version. |

The newer 7 version is very different. Personally I liked the old one better, yet it still works great. I scan each night. One night my computer was moving slowly and the new updates resolved it quickly! I have that and Spybot.

this version sucks and i no longer use it. Spybot S&D improved with their last update, and it does just fine. I uninstalled AdAware completely.

I was mistaken I have Lavasoft Adware SE and still Spybot. Love them both.

lavasoft and ad aware are the same program i believe you were right in what you said the first time.

Tired and feeling ditzy. Sixteen plus hours of driving in 2 days. You are right. For me they have worked well.

i feel ditzy all the time. i just happen to know computers lol! ask me about anything else, i'd probably be the same way.

I also have Spybot S&D and Advanced Windows care V2 personal which is free, AOL spyware program which never finds noting.
I guess if something comes along better then the ad aware by lavasoft then I'll download it and get rid of the other program. |
