Here is just a sampling of my suspense/thriller book that is in the process of getting finished.
Hands OFF by Robert Wolf Chapter I A soft breeze is blowing across the pom frons of the alligator pit, making small tangent ripples over the pond, when the terrifying voice of a man mutters, "No mister....please..." begging for his life. "This won't hurt too long, and only a little bit," sadistically the darkened figure assured him. "Please....don't do this....I haven't done anything...." begging and pleading for his life. Crawling on the ground on his elbows backwards, looking up at the tall figure above him, stalking slowly inch by inch. A light shines on him, revealing he is wearing a tight leather mask, the kind they use in sexual bondage. That will be last thing he will remember. The last thing he hears, is a door sliding up from behind him, hearing a gutteral hissing sound, then a snap like a steel bear trap coming down. There were no more begging pleas coming from him. All that was heard then, was the chomping of two powerful jaws. The masked man hears a splash near the waters edge, as he sees a lizard like tail disappear into the pond. "Well I guess I can get rid of this carcass. Poor man. Wish I knew who killed him." In a sadistic manner, knowing full well it was the gator. With a little help from him. He had his intentions and knowing his plan was about to take place. "let's see here buddy," as he pulls out a plastic bag and shakes it down, so as to fill it with air. Then he reaches in his coat pocket and pulls out a meat cleaver. He whistles while he goes about his plan, arranges the mans arms straight to the sides, raises his hand with the cleaver, and comes down across the right arm at the elbow. Picks the arm up and puts it into the bag. Then comes down across the left one and puts it into the bag. He twists the bag and ties a knot in it and sets it to the side. "Now let's see what we can do with this poor chum...chum, I made a funny." Laughing in a sadistic, non chalant manner. He picks up what's left of the body, places it at the waters edge, where it looks like he fell into the pond with his arms and shoulders in the water. "There you poor soul; got drunk and fell in the gator pit and became supper." He made sure he looked around, so as not to leave anything behind. He walks off whistling, toting the bag over his shoulder. He approaches his car and opens the trunk, tosses the bag in, and he looks carefully behind him. Then he looks to the left and right to make sure the coast is clear, as well as in front of him. Good not a soul. He reaches under his chin and pulls up on the mask, taking it off and shakes his curly brown hair, to let the cool evening air flow through his curls. Tosses the mask on top of the bag and closes the trunk of his black Lemans. He gets in his car to sit down, takes out a cigarette to light it...tap tap tap....he gets startled and drops his cigarette in his lap and looks to his left and sees a cop tapping on his window. He rolls it down, "Damn officer, I'm glad it wasn't lit." Trembling as he reaches for his cigarette, he starts to think quick. "I could've got burned." "Did you know you were parked in a No Parking Zone, sir?" the cop inquired. "What, no apologies? Must be having a bad night." "Move it along sir." "No problem." He lights his cigarette, puts the car in gear, looks in the rear view mirror, seeing the cop kneeling down rubbing the asphalt where his car had been parked. He drives off out of sight. The sadistic letch pulls up into the driveway of a cabin hidden off the road, by a tree covered acre of land. It would be hard to see the cabin from the road with all the thickness of plush cedars, pines and poplars. Some oaks and maples too. Everything just at the right heighth to seclude someone's privacy. He pulls the car into the garage, turns the headlights off, puts the car in park, and looks down at his wrist watch. 11:00pm. He gets out of the car, pushes the button on his keyring and the trunk pops open. Reaches in to pull the bag out that contains the half arms, "Let me give you guys a hand," he starts laughing out loud, "oh me, I crack myself up. I'll be here all week folks." He takes the bag and places it into a big sink over by his tool rack, where he leaves it for the time being. When he fumbles for his keys to unlock the door that leads into the garage, he steps into the foyer and takes off his boots before heading into the kitchen. Walks over to the sink to wash his hands and looks around for the coffee pot. It's where he left earlier that morning, by the refrigerator. He fills it with water and fills the reservoir up, then gets the filter basket and puts the measurement of grounds in it he prefers, which is about six teaspoons for his liking. "Now to go change." |

So cool. Prose is a longer journey, but, in my lowly opinion, you have the gift to finish it, and it's very good.
