This is a fairy tale that all moms should tell
their daughters now a days......I can read it
1,000 times and still laugh.

Once upon a time in a land far away,a beautiful,
independent, self-assured princess happened upon
a frog as she sat contemplating ecological issues
on the shores of an unpolluted pond in a verdant
meadow near her castle.

The frog hopped into the princess' lap and said:
" Elegant Lady, I was once a handsome prince,

my sweet, we can marry and set up housekeeping
in your castle with my mother, where you can
prepare my meals,clean my clothes, bear my

First, take a slow deep breath to the count of 5, then let it out slowly to the count of 5.

You'll be nervous, he'll be nervous, gives you something in common already, doesn't it I've found the most effective strategy is to talk about the nervousness, makes you feel better. Go somewhere you feel comfortable already, not a good time to try something new. Wear something you feel comfortable in, that makes you feel good about yourself. These all help make you feel more relaxed. Then, just be yourself and have a good time. If it doesn't work out, you're no worse off than you are now, right? But, you might have a good time anyway and at least you'll have a bad date story to tell.

thanks guys!!!! i just really dont feel that good about myself right now for various reasons..some know some dont...ughhhh in the last 2 years i had a violent relationship which ended abotu 8 months ago. i gained a TON of weight and the last attack he knocked out 9 teeth, i took 14 blows to the face alone. ive had to have some reconstructive surgery...so yeah i feel kinda yucko...jeff knows this, he's seen me, he doesnt care so he says...says all of that is fixable if i so choose, etc...just not having faith in myself is more what it is i think...you guys lift my heart in so many ways, you have no idea what you do for me. i love you all so very much...nothing i wouldnt do for any of you. we chicas really do rock!
