who do you think is more tough and better trained a marine or a soldier. and me being a marine well dont let that sway your opinion lol.

Army is better trained with tactics, Marines are tougher, but in the end what dos it really matter where all on the same team

Depends on what kind of marine and what kind of Army, I mean I think an army ranger is better trained and tougher than a basic marine, but marine recon is crazy tough...

i dont think "toughness" has anything to do with it. anyone in any branch of service is a soldier and fighting for the same cause- our country!!

A Marine is a Marine, a Soldier is a Soldier, A Sailer is a Sailer and an Airman is an Airman. All Fighters and all different.

The toughest best trained is the one on the ground next to me.

I'm a former Marine myself, (Which explains alot), and Yes I will say that there is a Diffrence in being a solger and being a marine. Mainly its a matter of perspective.

However in training, boot camp for Marine Coprs is harder and mor stressful than army, but on the other hand in the army once you get into the field its easire to get advanced training than it is in the Marine Corps.

It all really depends on the person, I know that when I was in, I ran into grunts that couldn't stand on their own, and I have run into clerks that you just didn't screw with. that goes for all the branches including the National Guard and the Coast Guard.

I have to disagree with that to a point. Usually the first in is eather Marine Recon or navy seals.

EDIT: or Army Rangers, depending on the unit.

I'm a National Guard soldier, going active duty and my fiance is an infantryman in the Army..His job is hell compaired to mine and his basic training was too, I'm Jag Corps, Paralegal future Lawyer..He is going back to Iraq in 10months for his second tour of duty..I don't know when and if I'm going to go...I know they are pushing him for special forces....He has not yet decided....

I was in the Marines for 7 1/2 years. Been in the 1rst,2nd and 3rd Marine Divisions. Now I am in the Army. They both have a lot of good people in each but Marines are better trained and have more discipline. And no itsjustdave, a Marine is not a soldier he is refered to as Marine. But for the general public a soldier is any one who fights. I think since 9/11 the Army has stepped up to the plate and they have bonded more of a brotherhood like Marines. Semper Fi, Hooah, and Meow lol
