1/27/08 - My ex-husband and I were trying to get back together a few weeks ago. He ask that I write letter stating why I wanted to get back together. I wrote him not one letter but two. The answer over the phone I got from him is that I need to pursue him, since I am the one that wanted the divorce. I wrote him back that I pursued him the whole time before so much so that I'm very much in debt. I can't see being out of debt for a long long time because I pursued him and have had to change my whole life because I pursued what he wanted to do. So needless to say, we are not getting together again. The good thing is I am feeling stronger and stronger and ready to start again.

Good luck, it sounds like you writing the letter was a good activity because it helped you to see what you want and dont want. Now the door is open for you to find something that is really worthwhile, someone you can pursue and someone who can pursue you equally. Best of luck!

You understand exactly. I guess I had to go through the letter writing and the reply to see exactly what I need to know. I feel much better now about it.

I am no expert here, but i guess seeing it in black and white makes you know what you want.

Very true, and I know what I want now, and what I don't want. I know one thing is that I am working on making myself happy and taking care of what I need to do. I figure the happier I am better it will be when I do meet someone.
