I have to admit I really have almost zero interest in watching sports of any kind on TV. Live, maybe once in a while if I get tickets for free. I can't justify spending the kind of money most events charge for "entertainment". I'd rather do other things. Whether NASCAR is a sport is debatable but after being involved in car racing for 20 years I can't sit and watch it either, not even in the stands. I have to be in the pits to get any real enjoyment out of it.

myself i have never really been into racing...aside from my days of playing rugby which is a sport that i reall enjoy..i tend to think of the quiet sides of sporting now...like fishing...flycasting.. golf is great ...its a sport for the patence and the strong willed...a sport as racing..where it so easy to loose ones life..as so many others have...is so death-defying..speeds..of almost out of control perportions..i understand why people love it so much though
