This is something I came up with, because Dena is so worried with the job I have, and she text me last night with the titled words for the inspiration for this poem.

Wake Me
(When You Come Home)

I go to sleep at night
With worry on my mind,
Knowing you're off to work
Eight hours of your time.
I worry with the job you have
Hoping you'll be safe,
Please watch your six
And don't be late.

You ease my mind at last
Letting me know you arrived,
You made it to work safely
Thank God you are alive.
I can go to sleep now
It's not easy being alone,
Please do me a favor
Wake me, when you get home.

I finally fall to sleep
Dreaming of a safe return,
It's so hard on me
With the worry and concern.
Please God, keep him safe
Bring him safely home,
Please let him wake me
So I'll never be alone.

Aww I didn't mean too Denise...but I am glad you liked it.

Denise ..it is so hard for me to let him go to work at night wondering if the bad guys will hurt him..but he is very good at his job and I am confident that soon he will be writing all the time and I won't have to worry about him except a paper cut or writers cramp,,those things I can handle.

Yes, when I become famous who needs to work for somebody else.
