Morning grazers awake,
the light at dawn beckons. A single audible quake, as the engine reckons. Hay ready for harvest, the heifers hopefully stare. Thinking, "marvelous, we shall soon be there". The first field to cut, Sadly ,the last as well. The bucks are full in rut, and they too can tell. In summer it's off limits, if legs you've more than two. Yet, it's tough times summit, this truth, an aged few knew. Tis' time to stock up, for autumn and beyond. This field is winters sup, right next to the pond. Mac |
