Blanket On The Ground

There's a place we go, so serene
Under a big oak tree,
We take a picnic, just for two
Where we feel so free.
A few clouds in the sky, a beautiful day
What more could I ask?
Just a day with you, a bottle of chablis
Such a simple task.

A few nibbles of cheese and crackers
Listening to the sound,
Of nature, all around us
On our blanket on the ground.

You tease me with a grape
As I lay upon your lap,
The sound of the rushing creek
Makes it easy to take a nap.
But alas I don't, as I look up and see
Those beautiful brown eyes,
To know your happiness, in your smile
Comes as no surprise.

You lay down beside me, holding me close
Not a soul around,
Just the two of us, making love
On our blanket on the ground.
