Skies of blue purple and gold
clounds like cotton and marshmallows
through the fog of all the pollution
I still see God's great Eyes watching
How sad he must be
when the rain falls
it must be God's tears
falling upon us all
trying to wake us up
tornados and hurricanes blow the trash around
and we thrash and rage wondering
why, what did we do?
Animals dying from oil spills and such
plans crashing and 911
senseless to those oblivious to His plight
He is constantly trying to make things right
Wake up and pay attention!
The message is there right in front of you
look up at the stars twinkling
just for you
All the machines, is it really progress
or is it regression
cause we are progressively lazy
looking for ways to make life easy
We pay high prices for gasoline
and organic veggies
Have we forgotten how to work the land
what happened to car pooling and walking
gardening, planting, using our own hands
Hunting with guns instead of our own arrows
where is the sport in any of that
Hunting for pleasure and greed instead of need
wasting and pillaging
animals we've become
Look up
and remember Him, Our Creator
Mother Earth is here for our pleasure
be grateful
and peaceful
and love thy neighbor
respect the land
don't bury her in litter
It's never too late
we can make her shine and glitter

winds of summer, breezes blowing,
sounds of slumber,dreams of knowing,
were this bloom of cotton wood,
fly your plume of feeling good,
written high the Luminary's word,
flitter by as a canary bird,
flutter by,oh butterfly,
winds of summers softest breeze,
hey and pollen evokes a sneeze,
keep 'em callin' for more tease,
winds of summer,feel this breeze,
when this morning did begin,
deer feeding a meadow,
wolves in a den,
we're feelin' mellow,

no not to just castigate,
