for over a year now, and of course
we're still counting. I have a few
trust issues, but that's beside the point,
though you'll see why in a moment..
-I had a friend text him, and this is how
the conversation went, starting with her-
"Hey sexy, remember me from Rob's?"
"Depends, who is this?"
"Oh, well, that doesn't really matter..
What does matter is, do you have a gf?"
"No."
"Oh, really? You seem like the tupe of guy
that would.."
"Neh. So, what do you look like?"
"Me? I'm tall, blonde hair, blue eyes.."
"You sound pretty hawt/sexy.."

...
That's all I needed to hear.
However, I'm in love with this guy,
and even though this isn't the first time
I've suspected him of cheating,
or the first time he's broken my heart,
I really need to know what to do...

Dump him. He is using you. You are convenient. You are there. He can play around and for times he isn't playing, he has you.

Normally, I would have questioned having a friend do that. But given the results.... Well, looks like you were right to be concerned.

Clearly, this is true. If he loved you, he wouldn't tell someone else he didn't have a girlfriend. He is a player. You are young and pretty. You will find someone else. Sooner rather than latter, more than likely. Don't let him continue taking advantage of your feelings for him. He is using those feelings to manipulate you.

When I was 17, I had absolutely no clue what a relationship was all about. You should date and have a good time. If you not having a good time, move on to the next guy. I think you should tell him to beat it and focus you attention on something a little more productive.
