One thing that drives me nuts is when people don't say anything in the profile. They say something to the effect of, "If you want to know something about me, email me and ask me."

There is an inherent problem with that. We haven't been given enough information to start asking questions. We have nothing to work with.

Just a few basics would be nice. Doesn't need to be a life story. Just to let people know a bit about what you are into so we can actually start a conversation about something.

Excellent point and very true. It makes me wonder if they are hiding something or just really shy.

I think some people just don't know what to put down and take that as the easy way out.
