even if you have a great poem,to stop I'm not,
tagging is to meees,

like the flowers in fruit trees,
liked year 'round,not always found,
some times a year, they are near,
and some times they'r not even AROUND,

poems do come from lonely hearts,
or even his broken dreams,
written down just for those hearts,
written from his dreams,

when he writes his lost hope,
pours his heart out like a dope,
tells a story,from his life,
not for glory,not for strife,

Micheal,
If I don't comment on a poem it's because I feel it was written for a
special person & they just havent gotten there yet. I no wordsmith so if
i do its only a few words...

Catch" when I do,if I do,it only means that I try to honor the first
poets work,as is the poetic way to respond...
do you go to a concert,
and not cheer for the artist?
not cheer for the music?

this is only an attempt to show the poet in my own way,

If it is someone I know well, I have done both, but NEVER, to
show better, and NEVER, to show any disrespect!!!
Some well all, that I have, no one has told me that I was wrong
or mean, with it.
Personally, anything that I have ever posted, I would never care
who put anything under my work, UNLESS, it was ment as a personal insult
against my work!!!

I'm kinda on the fence about this. Some of my stuff is intensely
personal and I would it rather not be tagged, and for the most part
anyon who truly knows me will know when it is personal and won't tag
it.I rarely tag on to anyones words, partly because I don't want to
steal their thunder, its their words their feelings and thoughts, not
mine. When I do tag its out of utmost respect not meant to belittle or
demean anyone elses words.

sorry gryph wasn't ignoring you just went to bed. as for do i think it's
rude or not. it depends on the poet if it's a noticitably personal piece
then yes i believe it's rude tagging in my opinion draws away from the
intention behind that piece. if it's a piece done in fun then I believe
it's pretty much ok and may even add to it. All in all i stick w/my
original thought if you don't want a piece tagged just put a quick no
tagging line on the bottom then there is no counfusion and no feelings
get hurt. Just my opinion probably wrong but here you go.

Well I have seen many opinions on this subject and the main reason I
started this was to get it out in the open. Sometimes tags are ok,
sometimes not. As several have pointed out some poems are personal,
seeking a sign from someone, other times they are not. Only the writer
knows how personal they are. In respect for others I think asking would
be nice. And yes Michael I wanted to start something with you. Why not
you were on right? What are friends for if not to get shit out in the
open!!!

I feel the same way about tagging a poem,and if I feel that it was
intended to not be tagged, I will not...
like I said,some have asked my opinion and a tagg if I wish,like I did
with a young love,on another poem,tagged...
I was asked,so I replied...
I never wish to "Steal thunder"
only to honor the poet,

and I'm glad we do get this issue into the open as I like to show my
feelings on and in poems...
would that one wishes to ever tagg one of my poems feel free,
my words will speak of my specials,
and hopes my work does not go unoticed.

M ya letting this subject get to ya man.
But it is nice once in a while to see
you write in normal words and not in
rhyme. Hell I knew if I said that you
would come back and defend your self lol

Michael, we are friends and hopefully always will be. Many times we have
put our dreams and thoughts to words. I have seen several people use the
word dreamer in posts to what we write. I take it as a compliment.

It was time that this subject was brought to light, in doing so we all
know what is acceptable or not. On occasion I have wanted to tag but
thought differently about doing so. Like has been said here some MAY be
personal, yet those answering may never know. My friends if you wish to
tag something I write please be courteous and kind with the tag. I have
seen people step on threads more than once and the same could happen in
this poetry section. This section like others should be kept for
discussions on poems, quotes, songs, etc.

Other sections should be kept to the topics listed also. Several times
in the last week I have seen arguements about where things should be
listed. Think first before you list, and honor the rights of who started
the topic.
