Sometimes She Cries It's not easy, When a heart breaks in two; Out there in life, When she's there all alone. The memories flood in And the pain reaches deep, The dark clouds roll in And the rain seems to seep. What else can go wrong, For a heart that's meant for keeps? Sometimes she cries, But it's not meant to see. Deep inside herself, She reaches for peace, Looking for the life That she wanted to live, She doesn't know how much more She's got left.... To give. Working through a life That's been shattered to the core. Caring for her kids Never knowing what's in store. Looking for the light, Half afraid to let go, She doesn't find the strength That she had once before. What else can she do With all that she's been through? The dreams she sees in sleep Are just memories felt so deep. Sometimes she cries For her life once lived Was just a lie. Now she's moving on, With the pain still in her heart; Working through the mess That a love left in the dark. She does the best that she can do, While she cares for the family she has left. Thinking no regrets, Though tears may fall like rain, She knows she can't kill the memories But she can stop the pain. She won't live her life As if all is lived in vain. Sometimes she cries But the tears will mend her heart, Never looking back For that's when the pain will start. Holding on to life, Moving forward day by day. Sometimes she cries, But she's tending to her heart... Everyday. Fadedspirit 1/20/2008 She makes no sound, when she cries. Her very foundation cracks silently, swiftly, from the inside out. She stands alone, solitary, awash in sorrows unknown by the masses. When she cries, her heart bleeds a river of tears, and bloodbath of emotions, drained her, minimizing her very existence. Her mouth opens, crying out her silent anguish, as another little piece of her dies, chipped away by grief-laden anvils. And her soul is burdened with a leadened loss. Dreams buried beneath the fallout, and she falls to her knees in quiet supplication, begging for mercy, and relief from sorrow, with head hung low. ...And she cries. Somewhere in the darkness When she's all alone, Thinking of a day Before her heart turned to stone, The silent trembles begin inside, She knows there's nowhere to hide And she cries. Even though her world Has wandered so far away, She knows there's still a chance That she might live whole One day. In the early morning, before the sunrise, Waking too early, she's wondering why, In this life that she lives, Nothing ever quite makes sense, Sorting through the dreams, Reminiscing the scenes, Softly she cries. Pounding on the walls, She's had all that she can take, What she doesn't know, There's a plan that's being remade. Her tears bitterly fall, She knows she's given her all And she's made up her mind She wants out of her life Today..... Crumpled into a ball where she fell, While the anger inside continues to swell. Aching for release, she screams into the light. Somehow she knows, that she'll be all right If she tries. Turning the corner, another page in her life, Looking for the answers while living in strife, A voice gently breaks in and comforts within, She doesn't know what to do, She's cried for so long, Looking to the past, Wondering what will go wrong. Drying the tears that she's cried While she's held so close, A stranger understands when she needs him most, With a look in her eyes By her angel in disguise, She cries..... |
