“Taken Back Your Dreams”

Within time the nightmares of the past.
You will be able to leave behind at last.
At night they seem to taunt.
Within your dreams each night they haunt.
They wait till you reach dream land.
There they have control and demand.
They take you to a place.
And they hide there face.
They seem to capture your fears.
And watch as they bring you to tears.
They take you to your knees as you look around.
You see their smile knowing they have you down.
Then before you they stand.
And hold out there hand.
Taunting you for you know.
Where they want to take you and go.
Right there back into the far corners of hell.
Just to leave you there to dwell.
Leaving you lost within your dreams.
For you see it seems.
You must fight the nightmares of your past.
That have come back to haunt you at last.
Stand up and fight with all your might.
Show them they will no longer control you at night.
Let them know they will no longer hear your screams.
For now you have taken back your dreams.
